Privacy at Tripuego

What information is processed when you read, plan and follow a supplier link.

Currency is suggested from the country lookup, then an explicit browser region, with EUR as fallback. A manual choice is saved in the first-party tripuego-currency cookie for up to 180 days, using HTTPS and SameSite=Lax. Choose Automatic to remove it. Supplier websites control their own currencies.

Serving and protecting the website

Hostinger processes connection information such as IP address, request time, requested page and browser information to deliver and secure the service. We rely on legitimate interests in operating a reliable website and investigating faults or misuse. Hosting logs and backups follow the applicable service retention arrangements; we have not verified a single fixed retention period for every log.

Language suggestions

A local country database uses the connection IP to return an approximate country code for language and currency suggestions. The endpoint does not store the IP or send it to an external geolocation service. Language suggestions do not redirect you. The database is DB-IP Lite, with attribution below.

Choosing a language saves its language code in a first-party preference cookie for up to 180 days. You can delete this preference in the cookie controls or browser settings.

Searches, calculator and referrals

Search entries and trip-calculator figures remain in browser memory and are not submitted to Tripuego. Selecting Search sends supported search details to Travelpayouts and the named supplier through a referral link. The link includes account, website and placement attribution, but no personal identifier created by Tripuego. Those services receive normal connection data and may use cookies under their own policies.

No third-party analytics, advertising pixels, embedded supplier widgets, newsletter or customer accounts are installed. Google Search Console is used for search visibility reports; we do not embed a Google visitor-tracking script.

Enquiries and retention

If you email the operator, your address, message and any voluntary attachments are processed to answer your enquiry. The basis is legitimate interests in responding, or steps requested before a contract where relevant. Correspondence is reviewed after resolution and kept only where follow-up, a dispute or a legal obligation justifies it. We do not run automated mailbox deletion.

Providers, transfers and your rights

Hosting, email, referral and supplier services may process information outside your country or the EEA. The applicable provider arrangements and safeguards govern those transfers. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may complain to your local supervisory authority, including Datatilsynet in Norway. No purchase is required to use these rights.
